Canelo Alvarez-Christian Mbilli live updates, results and analysis

Canelo Alvarez takes on WBC super middleweight champion Christian Mbilli in the main event of a Mexico vs. The World fight card Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (DAZN PPV, 10 a.m. ET).
Canelo (63-3-2, 39 KOs), a four-division world champion, will look to reclaim one of the titles he lost to Terence Crawford in September 2025.
Mbilli (29-0-1, 24 KOs) captured the WBC interim title with a first-round TKO victory over Maciej Sulecki in June 2025. He made his first defense three months later in a split draw against Lester Martinez. The WBC elevated Mbilli to full champion in January after stripping Crawford of the title.
Also on the card, Jaime Munguia defends his WBA super middleweight title against Nikita Zon, and Rafael Espinoza puts his WBO featherweight title on the line against late replacement Ricardo Blandon.

In this Mexico vs. The World event, Mexican fighters trail 1-5 so far.
Reito Tsutsumi of Japan, Sultan Almohammed of Saudi Arabia, Bek Nurmaganbet of Kazakhstan, Brayan Leon of Cuba and Carl Jammes Martin of the Philippines have all won their bouts for Team World. Emiliano Rojo secured the only victory for Team Mexico so far.

Tsutsumi, 24, scored a knockdown early in the second round with a straight left, an another one with a straight right and a left hook, before finishing Rojas with a right cross around the guard against the ropes. It's only the second time in Rojas's career he's been knocked out and the first since 2023. Tsutsumi remained all business in his post-fight comments.
"I should be more detailed," Tsutsumi said, through a translator. "I will watch my own fights, then I will see what I need to improve for my next fight."
Tsutsumi (6-0, 5 KOs) turned pro in 2025 following a 26-2 amateur career.
Reito Tsutsumi is an ambassador for Ring Magazine and one of Japan’s most talented young fighters. At just 24 years old, he has a 5-0 record, with four of those victories by KO.
