Canceled Transformers Game Footage Leaks Online, Showing Never-Before-Seen Final Trailer

A final trailer for the canceled game, Transformers: Reactivate, has leaked online, giving fans the closest look at what the completed project might’ve looked like. *Transformers: Reactivate*, a third-person online action game made by developer Splash Damage, was first revealed at the 2022 Game Awards. The title faced major delays after its big reveal and was eventually canned in January 2025, with Splash Damage undergoing several rounds of layoffs in the nearly two years since then. Just a day after the project was put to bed, gameplay footage from the highly-anticipated title leaked online, showing Bumblebee blasting enemies and traversing terrain in his vehicle form.

It’s been more than a year since this footage found its way on social media, but one fan has managed to uncover a final trailer for the game with what seems to be the most complete build we’ve seen thus far. The trailer was uploaded by a user named 'Nem - TFR Archives,' who speculates that the video was created as an investment pitch to other publishers that ultimately failed. Furthermore, the footage suggests the project shifted from a purely free-to-play online experience to one with much more single-player content and optional online co-op.

The trailer shows Optimus Prime (speculated to be played by Jon Bailey) declaring that the Legion has invaded the galaxy, requiring the Autobots to seek them out. Footage depicts Optimus, Bumblebee, and Iron Hide navigating rough terrain while fending off the enemy, eventually teaming up with the Decepticons to purge the galaxy of this mutual threat. Megatron also appears as a recruitable and playable character. Given what has been shown, fans note that it is a travesty that the game was canceled, as it appeared to have an intriguing story, stunningly realistic visuals, and robust gameplay utilizing both Autobots and Decepticons.
