Brandon Sanderson, author of The Cosmere books, recently shared his thoughts on the new Mr. Beast book, The Most Dangerous Games. During his podcast episode, Intentionally Blank, he expressed curiosity about who the true author was, stating, "I'm really curious who the ghost writer was." He explained that while he is familiar with co-authoring—a process he used recently for Blightfall—he questioned the involvement of James Patterson in this specific project. Sanderson noted that typically, James Patterson provides an idea and outlines, but then someone else writes the book, which Patterson reviews. "It doesn't feel like a James Patterson book," he remarked, questioning if Patterson utilized an uncredited ghostwriter for the Mr. Beast collaboration.

As someone who has helped finish The Wheel of Time Book series for Robert Jordan, Sanderson is knowledgeable about collaborative writing. While he admitted it was possible Patterson wrote the entire book, his strong suspicion remained that an uncredited ghostwriter was definitely involved in creating *The Most Dangerous Games*. The novel itself is described as "an unputdownable survival thriller" set in Antarctica and other deadly locations, promising a high-stakes battle for a billion dollars.
