PlayStation Officially Announces 2026 Black Friday Sale
PlayStation has officially announced its upcoming 2026 Black Friday sale. Deals drop on PlayStation Direct at midnight on November 4, with the full sale running until November 30. This marks a significant shift from last year’s strategy, which limited discounts to the week of Black Friday proper.
This year’s announcement is pretty slim on the details, simply noting that "you’ll find deep discounts up to 75% off, across thousands of PS5, PS4 and PS VR2 games, expansions, and DLC." The focus appears to be entirely on software, with no mention of consoles, accessories, or even PS Plus memberships.
The announcement offers a sneak peek at what games will go on sale, including some big new releases from 2026. Retailers like Best Buy and Amazon have already started dropping early Black Friday deals, where you’ll find discounts on older physical PS5 games such as God of War Ragnarok and Ghost of Tsushima.
Unfortunately, hardware discounts are not looking good for PS5 in 2026. Sony has traditionally announced a new PS5 game bundle for Black Friday, but this year there is no mention of one. While last year saw significant discounts across the entire hardware line, including $100 off the PSVR2, this year’s announcement lacks any indication of major console savings.
The only sign of hope is an expected second wave of deals on November 20, which could potentially include some hardware offers from Sony or individual retailers. If you are looking for a current-gen console, refurbished options remain available, with Sony currently offering $40 off refurbished PS5 bundles and up to $400 cash back when trading in your old console.
