The Elder Scrolls 6: Sentinel Name, Logo, Officially Revealed as Bethesda Marks 40th Anniversary
Bethesda Game Studios has officially announced the subtitle for The Elder Scrolls 6. The long-awaited follow-up to Skyrim will be called Sentinel, making its official title The Elder Scrolls 6: Sentinel. A logo has also been revealed. Both come as part of a video message from longtime franchise director Todd Howard as Bethesda celebrates its 40th anniversary.
The name 'Sentinel' is significant, as it refers to a city within the province of Hammerfell on the continent of Tamriel, where The Elder Scrolls is set. Hammerfell is located due west of Cyrodiil and southwest of Skyrim. It has been a long wait for The Elder Scrolls 6, which was first announced in 2018.
While this subtitle and logo reveal are major news, they represent the first real bits of information on the game in some time. Given Xbox CEO Asha Sharma's renewed focus on console exclusives, there is speculation about whether *The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel* will be released on PlayStation consoles. For now, fans must wait for a proper reveal at upcoming events like next year's Xbox Showcase.
