GTA 6 Preload, Global Release Times and Install Size Confirmed, Rockstar Announces Physical Cover Art Poster and Map of Leonida

Rockstar Games has confirmed the GTA 6 preload and global release times as well as the install size of the game. Digital preloading on PS5 kicks off at midnight local time in your respective timezone on Tuesday, November 10. On Xbox Series X and S it’s slightly different — preloading begins on Tuesday, November 10 at 12am GMT (UK time). That's 4pm PT and 7pm ET on November 9. Code-in-box versions for both consoles “should” be available from retailers beginning November 12.

Rockstar has also now officially confirmed that GTA 6 itself launches globally on November 19, using the local midnight release timing strategy across PS5 and Xbox Series X and S.

For preloading, the times are:

PS5: Los Angeles: 9pm PST (November 9), New York: 12am EST (November 10), London: 12am GMT (November 10).

Xbox Series X and S: Los Angeles: 4pm PST (November 9), New York: 7pm EST (November 9), London: 12am GMT (November 10).

The global release times on November 19 are:

PS5/Xbox: Los Angeles: 9pm PST, New York: 12am EST, London: 12am GMT.

As for the install size, Rockstar confirmed that the preload file weighs in at up to 212 GB, “depending on your device.” Elsewhere, Rockstar said that on November 19, the day GTA 6 comes out, it will add an official printable GTA 6 cover art poster and map of Leonida as a free digital download to the official site. A double-sided physical version of this poster will also be made available shortly after launch from the Rockstar Store.
