Avengers: Doomsday Poster Highlights Doctor Doom and 3 Latverian Witches
Marvel Studios has revealed a new Avengers: Doomsday poster, giving audiences a closer look not only at Doctor Doom but also at the three Latverian witches who will accompany him this December. This latest look at the new Marvel Cinematic Universe movie was shared on social media as part of this weekend’s San Diego Comic-Con Málaga in Spain. The poster features Doctor Doom taking center stage, looking menacingly powerful. However, the real highlight is the three Latverian witches standing behind him.
These three witches – and their hidden identities – have been the subject of much debate amongst MCU fans. While some onlookers might assume they are mere henchmen, many fans have developed theories about who these characters could be. Prominent fan theories suggest the witch with the red robes could be Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff, while the green-robed witch may be Sophia Di Martino's Sylvie. The identity of the character in the purple robe remains a point of contention among viewers.
Meanwhile, Anthony Mackie took his Comic-Con appearance as an opportunity to tease some of the most surprising moments from the new movie. When asked what people will be most surprised by, he stated, “I think the big thing is the amount of doom you’re going to see... Every corner we turn and every time somebody speaks, it’s like, ‘There’s a lot of doom outside.’ It’s non-stop pandemonium.”
Mackie also spoke about the film's structure, noting that the Russo brothers are great at giving every character their moment. All will be revealed when Avengers: Doomsday arrives December 18, 2026.
